this is confusing as all hell... so here;s the story - i'm 21 shes 21 - i've known her pretty much most of my life and always have been associates we'd say hi once in a while but nothing really came about because we were young and had different tastes back in the day... anyway she's been in a 5 1/2 year relationship that was really bad and she has finally come to the conclusion that it just WONT work and will never work she's sick of lying to her parents about where she is, and its just causing her more stress than anything. I can't say that I would understand it anymore than you do, but if what he's saying is true, it sounds like he could use a little help. You're right, I think -- sex is not the most important part of a relationship, but it is important. I'm really not sure what you can do other than continue to talk things out with him. It could be that he has commitment issues. Men engage in some strange behavior when they're afraid of committing.
