But I've decided to go to counselling before deciding one way or the other about the relationship. If nothing else, it will help me to resolve some of my issues. And I will talk to her about the lying, but last night she claimed that she didn't lie about the kissing and that it was just because she can't remember what happened clearly. Not being able to remember things is a form of denial (I looked it up), and she's got denial in spades, but it also makes for a very convenient out if she doesn't want to admit the truth about something.

Years back, I was set up on a blind date with this girl. One of the guys setting us up immediately showed me her Facebook. Told me she's a great girl, very family-oriented, her pics seemed to tell that story, I was optimistic. The date went horrible. She was desperate to start a family, as in she was multi-dating to find her husband and needed to have children right away. The family photos that came off nice were an illusion. Dude she didn't have a realization that it was wrong, she kept it a secret by lying to the both of you, and knew it was wrong already. She got caught, that's the only reason why she will (maybe) stop. She is dating the both of you, weighing her options, that's what she was doing. Just because the messages stopped doesn't mean they weren't seeing each other behind your back. She could have easily deleted some of the messages or just called him. Friendships are always at risk from something. This is a thing. The lady, it appears, even if a bit uninhibited by alcohol, communicated with you and invited you into her bed.
